On The Hook Mission

Our company's mission is to make eco-friendly lures. We strive to limit our ecological impact by reusing up to 15% of our material. Even still, in the next year, we will aim to be 100% eco-friendly since, as a company, we want to grow a movement towards more significant ecological consideration. 15,000 soft bait lures are lost in lakes and rivers each year in the USA. Our company's primary mission is to create a better environment and limit the impact these 15,000 lures have.

  • Founded

On the Hook was founded in 2023 by two high school kids who wanted to better society as a school project. However, the idea of starting the company together had been around far before this initial launch. In their first year, they networked with fishing influencers and grew on social media. Once they made their company official, they started selling on platforms like Amazon and made around $350 in sales in the first threemonths.

Meet The Team

Co-Founder and Ceo or marketing and Communication: Ryan Doyle

The reason why I started this company is because of my passion for fishing and because I saw how the industry was hurting itself and also the environment. Making me what to create on the hook since it allows me to connect my passion and my morals to reuse torn-up lures with no meaning to be reused and recycled while creating new and high-quality lures.

Therefore, because of my interest in the company idea, I first came up with the idea as a freshman in high school but took action on it in junior year and senior year, making my dream a reality. Allow to help change the stereotype of anglers not caring and to also allow for a bigger impact one can have while doing something they enjoy.

Once we offical i took over the role as mageing socail media and reseach and better our product and doing oder and puting the best foot for the comapny. However, little did I know that once I went to college, it allowed a ton of operations to grow my company into something bigger. Since I believe that any lure sold is a better way to help the environment, it is not money that drives me to do this; it is the feeling of the environment not being effected in the wrong way.

With a strong passion for the outdoors, I feel OnThehook has fostered my creativity in a beneficial way. From working on the custom lure maker to learning about various local fishing locations, I never stop learning. For this reason, I take pride in my position at OnTheHook and look forward to continue growing the company.
